Rathlin is an island with breathtaking scenery, wildlife, many species of birds, and some rare types of flora . We have three lighthouses, but we still managed to have an unrivalled collection of historical shipwrecks around the coast. Seals can generally be seen basking on the rocks . Famous personalities have stopped on our shores, including Robert the Bruce, Marconi and Richard Branson |

Soerneog View Hostel, Rathlin Island, overlooks Mill Bay with good views of grey and common seals . Soerneog, the Gaelic word for "kiln", is the name of an area within the bay .
The hostel can accommodate up to 6 people (one room with double bed
and two rooms with bunk beds) . Central heating and full self-catering
facilities are available . We are only ten minutes walk from the ferry
terminal, luggage can be picked up from the ferry by prior arrangement . Bikes
are available for hire . The hostel is open from April to September . |
