| Devenish Island |
| Devenish Island is a Monastic Site on a peaceful island. On the
island you will find a perfect 12th century round tower which you can climb, a
ruined Augustinian Abbey and a 15th century intricately carved high cross.
A boat is available from Trory Point. Travel along the A32 towards Irvinestown and take a left turn at the A32/B82 junction. This is approx. 2.5km from Enniskillen and the B82 will take you to Kesh. Boat times : April - September : Tuesday - Saturday 10am - 7pm, Sunday 2 - 7pm. Wait on the jetty and the boatman will pick you up. 10 minute trip. A fee is payable to the boatman which includes entry to the Island . |
