This is a National Trust Property . Ardress House was originally a 17th century farmhouse that was upgraded to a house fit for gentry in the 18th century . It has an elegant Adam-style drawing room and neoclassical plasterwork, good quality furniture and pictures . In the farmyard you will see livestock and farm implements . The garden is attractively laid out with a walk-way through the woodlands and alongside the river . Part of the house is accessible to wheelchair users.
Opening times are : Easter - daily, April, May and September - weekends and Bank Holiday Mondays, June , July and August - daily 2 - 6 except Tuesdays.
