The ruin of the Franciscan friary, founded about 1500 by Rory MacQuillan, lies at the meeting point of the Glenshesk and Glentaisie . East range of cloister, gatehouse and church virtually complete except for roof . South of the alter is the vault of the MacDonnell family . The remains of one of the most famous MacDonnell chieftains, Sorley Boy are also to be found here .
