Roses, shrubs and herbaceous borders are feature of the 2 acre walled garden here . It has been in continuous cultivation since the 1780's although most of the landscaping and planting of the mature trees was carried out between 1800 and 1820 . Also for your enjoyment is a working kitchen garden, woodland walks, a Victorian Iron Bridge and 18th century stable yard . A Victorian woodland pond, fed by a sparkling burn, has been reclaimed and further planting is in progress .
